LOAD: Day 21 Cut a picture into a Shape

Today's LOAD challenge was to cut your picture into a shape.  So, I broke out the old Creative Memories shape cutters and cut a picture of Walker in his All Star baseball uniform into a "rounded" star.  This was never my favorite shape cutter, but it fit the theme of the layout!  I also participated in a Let's Scrap challenge to use 3 different pieces of chipboard and alter them.  I covered the upper right star with silver foil, painted the journal chipboard with khaki paint and stickled the arrow red.  I used up some old baseball themed paper and material.  I love these pictures of Walker and his team in the dug out focused on their fellow team mate up to bat!

Eight is Great! Hidden Journaling

Below are pictures of my hidden journaling layout regarding Walker's 8th year of life. This was challenge issued by Let's Scrap! (see button to right; takes you right there) I am glad I tried it! I like how it turned out! First image shows the photo flap of this one page layout.

Second image shows the photo flap being lifted to reveal additional photos and the hidden journaling. Used all Basic Grey from 3+ years ago.

This image is the photo flap completely open revealing additional pictures and my hidden journaling which is a letter to Walker reminding him of his activities, personality and milestones during second grade/being 8.

Walker's 9th Birthday

Just felt like posting a picture of the front LO of Walker's 9 year old album. His birthday was family only: swimming, cake, ice cream and presents over at Noni's!
